Volleyball Lineup Generator

A starting rotation in serving order, built from the players who are coming

In Reply1, a volleyball lineup starts from your RSVPs. Generate a six-player starting rotation in serving order from the players who said yes, with a starting and backup setter, following the rotation order you set for each player.

6 Rotations, 1 Libero, 0 Margin for Overlap Violations

Volleyball rotations are governed by strict overlap rules. Your setter and opposite must be across from each other. Front-row and back-row positions can't overlap. The libero can only replace back-row players and can't serve in some leagues. One positional error and you hand the other team a point.

Volleyball Lineup Features

Built From Your RSVPs

Generate a lineup for any game and Reply1 places only the players who RSVP'd yes. Inactive players are left out, and it won't build a lineup bigger than the number of players coming.

Serving Order

Give each player a rotation order on the roster — 1 to 6 for the starting rotation, 7 and up for subs — and the generator works from it. Pick 6, 7, 8, or 10 players, or enter your own number.

Positions & Setter Order

Tag players S, OH, MB, OPP, L, or DS, and rank your setters: the first is your starter, the second your backup.

Adjust & Post From the App

In the Reply1 iOS and Android app, adjust the lineup and post it to your team message board so players and parents can see it.

Volleyball Lineup Generator FAQ

Does it check overlap rules or track libero replacements?

No. Reply1 builds the starting rotation and setter order from who's attending; it doesn't validate overlap, track libero replacements, or chart serve receive.

How is the serving order set?

From the rotation order on each player's roster profile, then reliability score for anyone without one.

Who sees the lineup?

Coaches and staff who manage the roster see it on the event. Players and parents see it once you post it to the team message board from the Reply1 app.
