The Tactical Edge: What Reply1 Automates
Reply1 Sports turns what you already keep — your roster, RSVPs, and attendance — into reminders, lineups, and reliability scores.
This page is for the coach or program director who runs teams on TeamSnap and wants to know, before exporting anything, what actually changes: what Reply1 automates that you do by hand today, what it costs, how a roster moves across, and where Reply1 is not the right fit. It ends with a step-by-step switch and answers to the questions we hear most from TeamSnap users.
One rule governs every comparison here. Each statement about TeamSnap links to the TeamSnap page it was read from and was checked on September 23, 2026; each statement about Reply1 describes shipped features, with one exception — Reply1 Payments, which is marked coming soon wherever it appears. Where TeamSnap's pages don't state something, the table says “Not published” instead of guessing.
Automated RSVP Reminders
Reminders go out on a schedule you set before each event, and each one can target players by RSVP status or reliability score — so the coach doesn't have to chase the team for answers.
On For Teams and For Programs, reminders are texts from your team's number. On Starter they arrive as push notifications in the free Reply1 app, with email for anyone who can't receive push.
Playing-Time Balance
On Reply1's baseball and softball lineup card, Auto-Balance sits players in turns — whoever has sat the fewest innings sits next — and moves returning fielders to a new position each inning.
Download the lineup card and its playing-time grid as PDFs, so you can show parents how innings were shared.
Player Reliability Scores
Reply1 keeps a reliability score from 1 to 5 for every player, starting at 3. When you take attendance it moves on its own: showing up after a yes raises it, and a no-show after a yes or a maybe lowers it.
Scores are visible to coaches and managers only, and reminders can target players by score.
Lineups From Who's Coming
Reply1's lineup generator starts from the players who RSVP'd yes and suggests a lineup using each player's position, preferred order, and reliability score.
Players who haven't said yes stay out of the suggestion, so the lineup matches who is actually coming.

Every TeamSnap cell is a fact from a TeamSnap page, linked in the cell. Where the TeamSnap pages we checked don't state something, the cell reads “Not published” — that is not a claim that TeamSnap lacks it.

Why Programs Switch from TeamSnap
- TeamSnap's club and league pricing is customized per organization. Reply1 publishes its price: For Programs covers unlimited teams for one flat $30/month ($299/year).
- TeamSnap passes registration processing fees to registrants by default — an organization that wants to absorb them has to switch that setting off.
- Invoicing is built in, and online invoice payments carry a published 3.25% + $1.50 processing fee, added to each family's invoice total.

How to Switch from TeamSnap
Four steps, no data re-typed. Your TeamSnap account is untouched throughout, so you can run both until your team is answering in Reply1.
1.Export your roster from TeamSnap
In TeamSnap, open the team's Roster tab, click Export, then Export CSV File — the file holds the roster profile contact information (profile photos and custom fields stay behind). For a club or league season, the Participants tab's Export Participants button downloads a CSV with roster status, contacts, and phone numbers.

2.Upload it at Reply1's import wizard (/import)
Choose TeamSnap as the source. The wizard recognizes TeamSnap's column names and maps them automatically — names, positions, jersey numbers, and up to two parents or guardians per player — and shows you the mapping before anything is created. Importing creates teams and rosters only: no invitation or message goes out, and one click undoes the whole import.
3.Invite players and parents — always free
From each team's Registration page, send invitations by email or share the team's join link on any plan. On For Teams and For Programs, invitations can also go out as texts from your team's number. Players and parents join free, on the web or in the free Reply1 app.
4.Set your reminders
Pick how many hours before each event a reminder goes out and who gets it — everyone, only the players who haven't answered, or a reliability range. On Starter, reminders arrive as push notifications in the free Reply1 app, with email for anyone who can't receive push; on For Teams and For Programs they are texts from your team's number.
Prefer hands-off? Free white-glove migration is included with every plan: send us your TeamSnap export and our team sets up your whole program — teams, rosters, and parent contacts — for you.
When TeamSnap Is Still the Right Choice
Being the right tool for every program isn't the goal. Here is where Reply1 says no, so you can decide before you export anything.
You want live scoring in the same app
Reply1 has no live scoring and no play-by-play stats. Programs that want scoring next to their schedule keep GameChanger for game day and run everything else in Reply1 — the same advice we give on the GameChanger page.
You need a team website
Reply1 has no website builder. Registration runs on a public sign-up link you share anywhere, and Reply1 for Leagues publishes a league site, but there is no page builder for a single team's own site.
Your schedule repeats every week
Reply1 has no recurring events. Each practice is its own event: add them one at a time, or import a season from a schedule webpage, a screenshot, or a CSV, and let families subscribe to the team calendar feed.
You want cards and bank transfers processed inside the app right now
Reply1 Payments — cards and ACH at a flat published rate — is coming soon. Until then parents pay on your program's Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal at a 0% platform fee, and Reply1 tracks who has paid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I import my TeamSnap roster into Reply1?
Yes. Upload your TeamSnap export at Reply1's import wizard (/import) — columns map automatically, parents and guardians included. Player names, positions, jersey numbers, and contacts all transfer, and free white-glove migration is available if you'd rather send us the export.
Does Reply1 have a mobile app like TeamSnap?
Yes. Reply1 has native iOS and Android apps — search "Reply1" in the App Store or Google Play. Players and parents join free, and the app delivers push notifications for RSVPs and team messages. On For Teams and For Programs, families who haven't installed it still get texts from your team's number.
How much does Reply1 cost?
Reply1 starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. After the trial, plans start at $10/month: the Starter plan ($10/month) delivers by push notification in the free Reply1 app, with email for anyone who can't receive push, and sends no texts; the For Teams plan is $19.99/month (or $99/year) and includes one dedicated texting number; the For Programs plan is $30/month (or $299/year) and includes two numbers. Extra phone numbers are $4/month each. Players and parents are always invited free.
How do I switch from TeamSnap to Reply1?
Export the roster from TeamSnap (Roster tab, then Export, then Export CSV File), upload it at Reply1's import wizard, review the automatic column mapping, create the teams, then invite players and parents from each team's Registration page and set your reminders. The migration guide walks through every screen, and free white-glove migration is available if you'd rather send us the export.

What does TeamSnap charge on registration and invoice payments?
TeamSnap's help center publishes 3.25% + $1.50 for online invoice payments, passed to the invoice recipient in the invoice total, and its registration setup guide says the pass-transaction-fees adjustment is on by default unless the organization turns it off. Reply1 charges no per-registration fee: parents pay on your program's Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal at a 0% platform fee, and cards and ACH through Reply1 Payments are coming soon.

Does Reply1 text players and parents?
On For Teams and For Programs, yes — reminders, RSVP requests, and team messages go out as texts from your team's dedicated number, and families can reply in their own words. Starter sends no texts: it delivers by push notification in the free Reply1 app, with email for anyone who can't receive push.
Can Reply1 import my schedule too?
The roster importer moves teams, players, and parents. For the schedule, Reply1's schedule importer reads a season from a webpage URL, a screenshot or photo, or a CSV built from its template, and you can always add events one at a time. There are no recurring events, so each practice is its own event. Once it's in, families can subscribe to the team calendar feed.
Does Reply1 do live scoring or build a team website?
No to both. Reply1 has no live scoring — keep GameChanger for that — and no website builder. It runs the operations side of a program: registration, rosters, RSVPs, reminders, lineups, and payment tracking.
Can I run Reply1 alongside TeamSnap during the trial?
Yes. Nothing in Reply1 changes your TeamSnap account. Import the roster, run a few events' worth of RSVPs and reminders in Reply1, and decide before the 14-day free trial ends — no credit card is required to start it.
