Lineup Planning

Basketball Lineup Generator

A starting five and bench order, built from the players who are coming

In Reply1, a basketball lineup starts from your RSVPs. Generate a game's starting five and bench order from the players who said yes, following the rotation spot you set for each player, and keep it on the event for your coaching staff.

5 Starters + 8 Bench Players = Rotation Chaos

Basketball rotations aren't just about who starts. You need to plan substitution windows at each quarter break and dead-ball timeout, keep your point guard's minutes under control, have a foul-trouble contingency for your center, and give bench players meaningful minutes without tanking a close game.

How It Works

2

Generate From RSVPs

Basketball Lineup Features

Built From Your RSVPs

Generate a lineup for any game and Reply1 places only the players who RSVP'd yes. Inactive players are left out, and it won't build a lineup bigger than the number of players coming.

Positions & Rotation Spots

Tag players PG, SG, SF, PF, or C and give each a rotation spot — 1 to 5 seeds the starting five, 6 and up sets the bench order. The generator works from those spots first.

Rotation Size You Choose

Pick a 5-, 7-, 8-, 10-, or 12-player rotation, or enter your own number. Everyone else who's coming is listed as a reserve.

Adjust & Post From the App

In the Reply1 iOS and Android app, adjust the lineup and post it to your team message board so players and parents can see it.

Basketball Lineup Generator FAQ

Does it plan minutes or substitutions by quarter?

No. Reply1 builds the starting five and your bench order from who's attending; it doesn't schedule minutes, quarters, or substitution windows.

How does it decide who starts?

It works from the rotation spot you set for each player first, then each player's reliability score. Players with no rotation spot fill whatever is left.

Who sees the lineup?

Coaches and staff who manage the roster see it on the event. Players and parents see it once you post it to the team message board from the Reply1 app.
